Hadjerioua Discusses Mesa’s Newly Acquired Small Hydro Technology at 2024 NHA Hydropower Week

Dr. Boualem (Bo) Hadjerioua, Director of the Integrated Water Resource Management at Mesa Associates, Inc., will be presenting on Mesa’s newly acquired small hydro technology at NHA Hydropower Week in Washington, D.C. Dr. Hadjerioua will be one of the featured presenters during the “Water Power Innovation Showcase: Conventional Hydro and Marine Energy” session on Wednesday, March 13, from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the Senate Room. Dr. Hadjerioua will discuss Mesa’s commitment to clean, renewable power generation and how these small generating units can minimize the environmental impact from their installation, operation, and generation. The units can replace diesel-powered generators used for plant startup, provide a source for plant battery or grid-based BESS configurations, and provide a continuous flow of water to support or maintain minimum stream flow requirements. This session will provide an excellent overview of the potential impact of this new technology on the hydropower industry and its role in shaping a more sustainable future.
